A Societal Tribute

Death is infinite, life’s a short stay,

Loss brings us grief, it will shape us each day.

But love is boundless, pure and divine,

It’s a force everlasting, beyond space and time.

Our awareness is shaped by the lens that we choose,

Politics—opinions, we win and we lose.

A parent’s true bond no soul can replace,

A human is human, no matter their race.

Hate is a lesson we teach one another,

But unity’s born when we truly—see each other.

Two views exist—how’s the glass in your hand?

Half empty? Half full? Both truths can still stand.

True wisdom is humbling, to learn evermore,

But foolish are thee— who believe there’s nothing to learn, anymore.
